History of SEO
Search engine is a software that is designed to perform information search in an internet. Search Engine Optimization[SEO] is the process of improving the search results in a search engine.
On September 11, 2001 following the Al-Qaeda attack at the world trade center in America, people were searching Google for the news regarding the same but the results were disappointing. This made Google restless, since it could not provide the details about the world's largest building of that time.
There are 3 steps in Search Engine process.
Crawling, Caching, Indexing
Crawling is the process by which a program called bot, scan a new or updated page.
Caching is the saving process. The snapshot of that page is saved in to database.
Indexing is the search results are listed by the process.
On-page or On-site Optimization: On page or on site optimization deals with the process of making the web pages clear and easy to access for the bot.
Web masters: The web masters controls and guides the web pages on optimization.
Evolution of SEO
In the beginning, Google used niche specific or content specific. The keyword was used in ranking the web pages. The webmasters to use keywords stuffing. Keyword Stuffing is a black hat seo techniques. Then Google changed content specific to link specific for improving the quality result. Here the website's that receives more links from other websites will be ranked. The website owners started to sell the links to the others.Then Google changed link specific to Quality link specific. Google introduce the rating system called page rank, for improving the Quality. Page rank is also called trust value. The websites that receives more recommendations will be ranked.
Passing the juice
If the webmasters with good page ranking gives link to other web pages, their ranking will be reduced. Link value is referred as the value or equity passed from one page to another page. Google also put forward 'no follow' mechanism, where equity passing is stopped.
Google Ad words
Using Google Ad words user can advertise their products by creating an account by setting a particular budget. This will helps to reach the adds to the customers through google homepage. Google Ad words, later changed to Google Ads or pay per click [PPC] is Google advertising service for business purpose where advertisements are displayed in Google.
Google Ad Sense
Ad Sense helps to distribute the Ads on the relevant webpage. The change in Algorithm will results in the change in the keywords which will affect the viewers website visibility which leads to the decrease in Google's revenue.
In 2009, personalized search results and auto suggestions were introduced. Google began to interact more with the user. Even web page ranking was based on user interaction.

This is the process how the ranking of webpage on the basis of interactive. The webpage which is more interacted will be shown on the top of the search result.
Bounce Rate
Bounce rate is the rate of users who visit the site and then leave in rather than viewing other pages of the same website. It is calculated by the number of single page visits by user and it is divided by the total number of visits.
By 2010, Social media platforms gain more appreciation among interest users. Even ranking was based on social media considering the influential power.
